The 2022 iteration of the IIHF World Junior Championship will be held in August, so you can start your holiday shopping now. Normally starting the day after the holiday, the tournament was postponed in December due to COVID-19 but will resume this summer.

The 10-team competition will begin anew with new rosters, clubs, and games. The results from December can be discarded because they will not be relevant in the summer.

After beating Canada in the 2022 gold medal game, the United States enters the tournament as the defending champions. It was the country’s fifth victory at the World Juniors.
