The Pittsburgh Steelers pardon a running back for removing a recently released rusher from the scrap heap.

On Thursday afternoon the team waived Master Teg III,

Joe was out of the field during Tuesday's practice after suffering a lower ankle sprain.

The Steelers signed Max Borgi two days after he was waived by the Denver Broncos.

Teague impressed some Steelers fans during training camp,

And he scored 31 yards on six carries in his preseason opener against the Seattle Seahawks.

Some expressed dismay at the Pittsburgh breaking ties with the Ohio State alum.

Borgi averaged 5.8 yards per carry during his four years at Washington State and ran for 12 touchdowns last season.

Mike Tomlin is one of the few remaining head coaches in the NFL who relies heavily on Bell-Guy's back.

He immediately made 307 carries and 94 goals to Nazi Harris in the rookie season of a first-round pick.

Borgi will now face Benny Snell, Anthony McFarland.

and fellow Adraft free agent Jaylen Warren for a roster spot,

But no student is likely to get much work unless Harris loses time.
