Leon Edwards is the first and only fighter in UFC history to defeat Kamaru Usman by knockout, and he is also the first fighter to defeat the Nigerian Nightmare.

Edwards won the bout, bringing his win streak to ten, while Usman's win streak was ended at fifteen.

And at UFC 278, Edwards did it first: he took Kamaru Usman down for the first time in the first round.

In addition to being the first fighter of Jamaican descent to win the UFC title, Leon Edwards also holds the distinction of being the only British fighter to ever win the title.

Needless to say, Leon Edwards is set for higher things going forward in his UFC journey. Will he be able to maintain his winning streak as he looks to defend the title? Only time will tell.
