After accusations of shelling Europe’s largest nuclear power plant by both Russia and Ukraine, the United Nations called for a demilitarized zone around the facility. Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Grossi has warned that damage to the plant could have dire consequences and that fighting around the plant is threatening to “jeopardize nuclear safety.”
