The Associated Press reports that in MIAMI GARDENS, Florida: Two days after Miami Dolphins backup cornerback Trill Williams tore the ACL in his left knee in the preseason opener against Tampa Bay, the team placed him on injured reserve on Monday.

Unfortunately, Williams’ injury will force him to sit out the rest of the year. On Saturday, in the fourth quarter, he sustained the injury.

Former cornerback Mackensie Alexander and defensive tackle Niles Scott were also added to the Dolphins’ roster on Monday. To date, Alexander has played for six NFL seasons, five with the Vikings and one with the Bengals.

Scott, a former undrafted free agent, spent most of the 2018 season with Cincinnati’s practice squad but did see action in six games.
