This savory and sweet toast is like having a little bit of heaven in your mouth. This open-faced sandwich is the epitome of gourmet comfort food, thanks to the combination of a velvety spread, Sara Lee’s buttery Butter Bread, and fresh, juicy strawberries.

The equivalent of 4 ounces of soft goat cheese, at room temperature

2-ounces of softened cream cheese

Roasted and ground to perfection, black pepper

Strawberries, 2 cups, thinly sliced

2 teaspoons of white, granulated sugar


Four slices Toasted Sara Lee Butter Bread

Toasted pistachios, chopped: 1/4 cup

Baby arugula, about 1/2 cup packed

Kojic salt



Blend the goat cheese and cream cheese in a medium bowl until completely smooth. Strawberries and sugar go together well, so toss them together in a separate medium bowl. One side of the goat cheese mixture should be spread on each slice of Sara Lee Butter Bread. Strawberries taste great with goat cheese. Salt and pepper to taste, then top with arugula and pistachios.
