According to a report, Allen Weisselberg, the former CFO of the Trump Organization, and the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office are nearing a plea agreement.
During its extensive criminal investigation into the Trump Organization last year, the DA’s office arrested Weisselberg in a tax scam. A plea agreement might stop a trial that would probably attract a lot of media attention.

The announcement follows a judge’s Friday decision permitting Weisselberg’s trial to move forward.
