Donald Trump should announce soon if he is running for president in 2024

Donald Trump “has to” make a decision about his presidential campaign in two weeks if he wants to head off being indicted for espionage, according to a source with the president.

Trump’s son-in-law and former White House adviser Jared Kushner, meanwhile, has a senior ally who believes that Trump may still opt not to run for office because of concern for his party’s unity and his ability to act as a kingmaker in the event of an indictment.

According to a search warrant that was released on Friday, the FBI also removed other records and five sets of top secret, three sets of secret, and three sets of confidential papers from Mar-a-Lago.

Some of the documents that were reportedly confiscated dealt with nuclear weapons. That study was labeled a “hoax” by Trump.

The warrant also disclosed that Trump was being investigated for alleged violations of the 1917 Espionage Act, which has been used to target whistleblowers.

Trump could spend up to 20 years in federal jail or lose his right to run for office if he is indicted and found guilty.

Trump claims he had the power to declassify the information and that the FBI unlawfully collected documents that were covered by the attorney-client and executive privilege while denying any wrongdoing.

But his legal risk goes beyond that.

His attempts to rig the 2020 election and encouragement of the deadly US Capitol attack are still being looked into by the House January 6 committee and the DoJ.

In addition, there are investigations into Trump’s commercial and tax concerns in New York and Georgia related to his attempts to reverse Joe Biden’s victory there.

Trump, who has long hinted at a new campaign, used the FBI search at Mar-a-Lago to raise money by framing it as an unusual incident and alleging his opponents mistreated him. Senior Republicans backed his assertions, ostensibly proving Trump’s continued influence over the party.

Alina Habba, a Trump lawyer, stated last week that she believed Trump could resolve his numerous legal issues by declaring he will not seek the president once more.

Habba said to the Real America’s Voice, “I’ve sat across from him, and every time he gets irritated, I say to him: ‘Mr. President, if you would like me to end all of your litigation, you should announce that you are not running for office, and all of this will cease.’” They want it, I said.

However, Habba added, “I hope he runs. This will really boost your base’s support for you, I assured him, as they tend to go a little too far. The Democratic Party occasionally has trouble getting out of their own way.
